NVQ L2 Up-skilling Opportunity!
The JIB-PMES is delighted to be able to announce the introduction of a scheme designed specifically to up-skill partially trained plumbing and heating operatives currently working in the industry. Working alongside JTL – the Building Services Engineering sector’s leading Apprenticeship provider, who will be working with and for the JIB-PMES to deliver this initiative – we are now able to provide a full on-site assessment service to facilitate the achievement of full L2 NVQ Plumbing/H&V qualifications. The programme is aimed at those working in the plumbing and heating sector who have completed technical certificate qualifications (e.g. City and Guilds 6129/City and Guilds 6128), but have not completed the appropriate NVQ – which is required to confirm their status within the industry. please i will like to know how i will benefit from this program. i have my 6129, working as self employed. i need to have my nvq 2.because it is disturbing me from getting better jobs.

If you have achieved your C&G 6129 and are currently working in the plumbing industry you may be eligible for the L2 NVQ Upskilling programme the JIB-PMES is currently running with JTL. Successful completion of the programme will result in the achievement of a Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing, which will enable you apply for a JIB-PMES Plumber Blue CSCS card.
