JIB-PMES wages and allowances agreement for 2026 and 2027
The JIB-PMES is pleased to report that the Industrial Parties on the JIB-PMES Board have reached agreement on a new wage deal for 2026 and 2027. This means that: from 05th January 2026, wages and allowances for operatives employed under the National Working Rule Agreement (NWRA) will increase by 3.4%. HMRC has also confirmed that lodging allowance payable to those employed under the JIB-PMES NWRA will increase from £51.59 to £53.40 from 05th January...

JIB UK-PHMES Grading
The purpose of grading is to ensure that plumbers, domestic heating fitters and mechanical pipefitters are suitably recognised for the trade skills and qualifications they possess.
The responsibility for operative grading has now been taken by the UK Plumbing, Heating & Mechanical Engineering Services Registration Scheme (UK-PHMES). This is the first time that Grading in England & Wales has been harmonised with Grading in Scotland & Northern Ireland.
